Here are two examples of data that describe other data, but are not explicily encapsulated in something like XML...
- The Amazon.com buying circles offer up some interesting metadata about the companies that are tracked. The Enron circle seems to be on target, but the Sapient buying circle does not.
- In the Gates Security Memo, the phrase Trustworthy Computing was mentioned nine times with capital letters. Well, someone registered the domain name which points to a Google search elucidating the reality.
